Description
This course provides an introduction to the major physical activity training principles for fitness assessments and exercise prescriptions in healthy populations. Topics covered include the measurement and evaluation of cardiovascular fitness, musculoskeletal fitness, body composition, balance and flexibility. The laboratory component consists of the practical skills and protocols used for proper fitness assessment. This course can be used toward the Science requirement.
Requisite courses
KIN-1101 or permission of the instructor [prerequisite(s)]; KIN-2304L (lab) (must be taken concurrently).
