1. What UW Smart Planner is (and isn't)

UW Smart Planner is an independent, student-built planning tool for students of the University of Winnipeg. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the University of Winnipeg. Course and program information is drawn from the University's publicly available academic calendar and timetable and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrectly interpreted.

2. Planning information is not academic advice

Suggestions, filters, degree-progress estimates, and any other output of this tool are informational only. They are not academic advising, and they do not guarantee registration eligibility, degree progress, or graduation. Always verify course details, requirements, and your academic plan on WebAdvisor and with a University academic advisor before registering or making decisions. You are solely responsible for your academic choices.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to gain unauthorized access, disrupting the service, scraping it at abusive rates, or using another person's account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Accounts

Some features require signing in with a University of Winnipeg student email address. You are responsible for activity under your account. We never see or store your university password.

5. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of UW Smart Planner are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service, including missed prerequisites, registration errors, delayed graduation, or reliance on any information it presents.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
