Description
This course places students in a kinesiology or health/fitness agency. Students provide service to the community while gaining experiential learning and practical experience with supervision. Placements are for a minimum of 100 hours and the course instructor will assist students in developing learning competencies and applying theory into practice through discussions and reflective assignments. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Additional Requirements: PHIA training; Standard First Aid/CPR C; record checks may be required when working with minors and/or vulnerable populations; see also Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health Fieldwork Handbook for placement-specific recommended courses.
