Description

This course is intended for students with a working knowledge of basic French. The focus is on the review of previously acquired grammatical and syntactical skills, and on the acquisition of new skills (e.g. past and compound tenses, conjunctions and expression of cause and effect). Lexical skills are targeted through reading activities (e.g. newspaper articles, poems, short stories). Writing tasks include compositions. The weekly one- hour lab (travaux pratiques)) is dedicated to developing greater ease with using vocabulary, morphology, and syntax.
