Description

This course presents students with the current theories on compensation, benefits, and pensions, and provides an opportunity to learn practical skills to manage compensation systems from the dual perspective of both the organization and the employee. Students explore issues surrounding compensation (direct and indirect) from the organizational perspective to ensure compliance, internal and external equity, and consider how compensation relates to strategic goals. The compensation issues are also discussed from the perspective of a current or prospective employee as they relate to motivation, satisfaction, and turnover intentions.
