Description
Immunology is the study of the defence system which the body has evolved to protect itself from external threats such as viruses and internal threats such as tumour cells. Topics to be covered include non-specific immunity, acquired immunity, the structure, function and genetics of antibodies, antigen-antibody interactions, cells and organs of the immune system, autoimmunity, MHC and T-cell receptors, cytokine signalling and applications of immunology.
