Description
This course is designed to introduce performers to basic stage physicality and the techniques of being both victim and perpetrator of illusory violence. The focus of the course is on the day-to-day skills required by all professional actors, regardless of age or gender, to cope safely with slaps, falls, kicks, rolls, and an assortment of other physical challenges that are routinely met in modern theatre and film. All skills are learned in a dramatic context and are designed to enhance the actor's overall physicality and body awareness on stage.
