Description
This course emphasizes practical aspects of conducting sample surveys. Some of the sample survey designs that are examined include simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, systematic sampling and cluster sampling. The course also deals with Horvitz-Thompson estimator as well as ratio and regression type estimators. The statistical software R is used throughout the course and applications to real-life data are an integral part of the course.
