Description
This course provides students in the biological and health sciences with an introduction to data analysis and statistical inference. Topics include: descriptive statistics; probability concepts; Bayes' Theorem; screening tests; discrete probability distributions; uniform and normal distributions; sampling distributions; and statistical inference for one population. Applications are drawn from biology, chemistry and other sciences.
