Description
In this course students develop understanding and skills for personal career planning. In the context of theories of career development, emphasis is placed on learning and practicing skills in communications, job-search, relationship-building, and personal assessment. Students consider how their approaches to life/career planning are influenced by past experiences, worldviews, gender and culture. Students develop a portfolio that documents their communication, education and career explorations, interpersonal, and management skills. Additionally, this course provides initial preparation for working with others in helping them to understand the world of work.
