Description

In developed nations, chronic diseases comprise the major causes of morbidity and mortality. This course examines the pathophysiology of selected chronic diseases and how each affects exercise performance. Exercise prescription for these higher risk populations is also examined. The chronic diseases discussed include, but are not limited to: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis.
