Description
This course introduces students to the economic analysis of labour markets. Topics covered may include labour supply, labour demand, the determinants of wages and employment, human capital accumulation, immigration, collective bargaining, and discrimination. The course focuses on the Canadian labour market and may include the analysis of policies such as social assistance and minimum wages.
Requisite courses
ECON-1102 and ECON-1103 with a minimum grade of C, or ECON-1104 or ECON-1106 with a minimum grade of B [prerequisite(s)].
Restrictions
Students may not hold credit for this course and ECON-2303 or ECON-2304.
