Description

This two-week field course takes place at two significant prairie sites: Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan, and the McIntyre Ranch in Alberta. Students learn to design and conduct observational studies on the behaviour and ecology of diverse animal species and learn about the ecology and conservation of Canada's prairie grasslands while working alongside biologists, resource professionals and people from First Nations in the region. Students stay in tents and must be prepared to live and work outside in inclement weather conditions. Students complete their research reports after returning to Winnipeg.
