Description
This course explores a number of issues specific to women living in the inner city. We examine the economic, political, and social conditions that influence the lives of diverse populations of women living in the inner city and the various issues and problems associated with their positioning. Within this larger context, special attention is paid to the specific issues and problems related to the experience of urban Aboriginal women, new immigrant women, underemployed women and street-involved women.
