Description
This course focuses on moving students' performance abilities to the next level while developing technical and interpretive skills. Emphasis is on the technical aspects of a variety of dance disciplines which are prevalent in the art form, including jazz, ballet, tap, and contemporary movement. Proper placement and alignment, incorporation of characterization, and stylistic elements are explored within classic and contemporary repertoire. Focus is placed on developing the techniques necessary to convey the story behind the movements including timing, delivery, and intention.
