Description

This course investigates the practices and responsibilities of the scenic designer. Charged with the creation of the play's visual space, students further develop their skills in sketching, drafting, and model building through small classroom exercises. In addition to reading a script through the eye of the scenic designer, students generate industry standard artwork in their interpretation of a play. Engagement with professional designers and attending productions help bridge their experience with the theatre industry.
