Description
This course is designed to give students a survey of the technical aspects of theatrical and media production, concentrating on facilities, scenery construction, lighting, and an introduction to sound. Emphasis is on basic concepts and hands-on application through practical lab work on departmental productions.
Requisite courses
THFM-1001 or THFM-1002 or THFM-1003 (recommended to be taken previously or at the same time as this course); THFM-2801L (Lab) (must be taken concurrently).
Restrictions
Students may not hold credit for this course and THFM-2803 or THFM-2001 (Carpentry) or THFM-2807.
Note
It is recommended that students without prior theatre experience take a 1000-level course from the Department of Theatre and Film concurrently with this course.
