- THFM-3701Playwriting II: General
Description
This course introduces students to creation strategies such as idea-outline-draft, imaginary improvisation, and RSVP cycles. In this course the play will be seen as a kind of score for directors, designers, and especially for actors. Creation of the dramatic moment, the dramatic scene, characters revealed through action, and finally a one-act play in which a protagonist seeks to accomplish an objective, form the central concerns of the course. Students are expected to complete a one-act play to at least a second draft.
