Description
The course examines the full range of horror films from classic to contemporary, exploring the aesthetics unique to the genre. The course looks at how story structure, lighting, framing, mise-en-scene, sound, and editing are applied towards creating the style and aesthetics of horror films. A large portion of the course focuses on the practical elements of shooting a horror film and students have an opportunity to write and shoot their own short horror film.
