Description

Taught in Spanish, this course introduces the basic techniques of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation (spoken translation) from English into Spanish and Spanish into English. Students focus on cross-cultural communication problems and develop skills through a variety of topics, style, and registers. The skills practiced in this course are applicable to various fields of interpretation (e.g., conference, legal, and medical).
