Description
The connection between family living and work activity is fundamental to the well-being of most people. In this course, students will study the social distribution of work, work within families, family members' work outside of the home, family/work conflicts, family diversity and work patterns and government work policies. The focus of this course will be on Canadian families, but will also include research in other countries relevant to Canadian experience. The emphasis will be on current issues.
