Description

This course will explore Indigenous Spirituality in the context of the encounter between Christianity and the traditional religions of the Indigenous peoples of Canada from first contact to the present. Topics will include missionary societies, residential schools and historical and contemporary responses to the Christian tradition. Special attention will be given to Anishnabe, Omushkego, and Dakota traditions.
