Description
This course provides students with an appreciation of the importance of politics at the provincial level. Students explore issues of regionalism and federalism, while analyzing in a comparative manner the different political realities of each distinct province. What makes provincial politics in Manitoba different from provincial politics in BC or Quebec? What is the role of the provincial premier given the current state of federalism and the impact of globalization? These questions are examined in an effort to provide an understanding of the important and evolving role of the province in Canada.
