Description
This course examines current issues affecting cities and city regions throughout Canada and the world, and the political and policy responses of government. The course covers a number of topics, including: decaying infrastructure; population growth; housing affordability; gentrification; transportation; and climate change. The course examines the origins of these issues, the tools available to government to address them, and the contradictions and conflicts that exist within governments' policy responses.
