MATH-1201 prerequisites

1 course appears in this chain, up to 1 level deep. Every route through it involves a choice, so nothing is forced.

Part of this course's requisite text couldn't be parsed into structure, so the chain below may be incomplete. The full wording is under “Requisite courses”.

Add your completed courses to see which of these you've already done and what you could take next. They stay on this device.

Taking MATH-1201 is a prerequisite for 15 courses directly, and opens 41 once their own follow-ons are counted.

Where MATH-1201 counts

Required by 7 programs:

  • MATH 3-YEAR BA/BSc IN MATHEMATICS
  • MATH 4-YEAR BA/BSc IN MATHEMATICS
  • MATH HONOURS BSc IN MATHEMATICS
  • PHYS HONOURS BSc IN PHYSICS
  • STAT 3-YEAR BA/BSc IN STATISTICS
  • STAT 4-YEAR BA/BSc IN STATISTICS
  • STAT 4-YEAR BA/BSc IN STATISTICS

Counts toward 3 more as one option among several, not as a course you must take:

  • EFIN 4-YEAR BA IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE
  • EFIN 4-YEAR BBA IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE
  • MATH TEACHABLE MINOR IN MATHEMATICS

Read from the departments' own calendar pages, where 71 of 141 programs are only partly machine-readable, so treat these as a minimum rather than the full list. Confirm with an academic advisor.

Description

This course covers results related to systems of linear equations, matrices, determinants, properties of complex numbers, vector geometry, vector space properties of n-dimensional Euclidean space and an introduction to eigenvalues, eigenvectors and linear transformations.

Requisite courses
