Description

This course provides both on-field and clinical experience in athletic therapy under the appropriate supervision. Students learn to apply the theoretical knowledge of injury prevention and management while working in a field setting for approximately 125 hours. A concurrent clinical placement of approximately 125 hours provides an opportunity to assess and rehabilitate injuries experienced by the athletic and physically active population. Students also attend regularly scheduled practicum seminars. This course can be used towards the Science requirement and is graded on a pass/fail basis.

Note

Proof of registration with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and the Manitoba Athletic Therapists Association must be provided to the practicum coordinator prior to obtaining permission to take the course. Acceptance into the Athletic Therapy Enhanced Major Program is required prior to registration, or Permission of the Instructor
