Description
This lecture/seminar course will analyze political and social ideas in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Russia. Individual works by authors such as Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Solzhenitsyn will be discussed. Issues such as social philosophy, political philosophy, and attitudes towards Russian identity will be studied.
