Description

This course investigates the historical significance of food production and consumption. A variety of approaches and the wide range of content in this comparatively new field are discussed, which may include: gender, ethnicity, (trans)nationalism, and identity; business, labour, and capitalism; production and consumption; the role of government; the environment; the body; taste; and memory.
