Description
This course gives students the opportunity to explore issues on women's history in Canada from the seventeenth century to the twentieth. Students examine women's political, legal, economic, social, intellectual/education, labour, medical, and cultural history. They also learn the central role gender plays in Indigenous history as well as histories of contact, settlement and colonialism, industrialization, immigration, war, and urbanization.
Restrictions
Students may not receive credit for both the 3 and 6 credit hour version of this course.
