Description
This course investigates contemporary issues in Canada's arctic and subarctic regions, focusing on the three territories: Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. This region continues to be subjected to a variety of changes in the political, social and economic landscapes. The purpose of this course is to provide students insight into how these changes impact the human geography of northern Canada. Special attention is paid to ongoing and newsworthy issues. This course fulfills the Indigenous Requirement.
