Description
This course examines geomorphic processes driven by water, air, gravity and glaciers. Among the topics discussed are the factors which influence the stability and form of slopes, the characteristics of watersheds and stream networks, the transport of sediment in fluvial systems, and the depositional features produced by streams, glacial erosion and sedimentation. Labs emphasize analytic methods and quantitative analysis.
Requisite courses
GEOG-1205 or permission of the instructor [prerequisite(s)]; GEOG-2220L (lab) (must be taken concurrently).
