Description

The practice skills course provides students with the opportunity to practice counselling skills and techniques in a supervised lab setting. Students analyze case studies and use digital recordings to practice counselling, consulting and coordinating skills. Students are required to conduct 10 individual counselling sessions with a client. Students are expected to demonstrate a progression of skills that allow gradual progress into direct service with students in a school setting (under guidance of a site supervisor).
