Description
This course analyzes educational responses to the changes faced by children and youth in Canadian inner-city schools. It examines the historical, cultural, political, and educational issues surrounding academically and socially under-served students within an inner-city setting. Identity, race, culture, gender, and human rights are analyzed in relation to culturally appropriate pedagogy.
