Description
Instruction and Assessment: Literacy Across the Curriculum (4 hrs Lecture) This course explores expanding notions of text and literacy across the curriculum. Prospective teachers are asked to consider how to bring learners and texts together to explore and construct meaning within their particular content areas. To this end, students are introduced to dominant theories and current approaches in the engagement of subject area texts through reading, viewing, listening, writing, speaking, and representing.
