Description
Instruction and Assessment: Theory of Science Teaching (4 hrs Lecture) This course addresses effective science teaching strategies and current issues in science education. The focus is on methodology to promote student learning understanding of science concepts and processes. Practical methods for demonstrating, planning laboratory experiences, managing science equipment, and safety concerns are also developed and discussed.
Requisite courses
EDUC-4734 SY C,I&A Middle Years Science for Senior Years Teachers (must be taken concurrently).
