Description

This course is an introduction to quantum chemistry, with applications in atomic and molecular structure and spectroscopy. Laboratory work consists of experiments in molecular spectroscopy and computational methods for determining molecular structures and properties.

Requisite courses

CHEM-1111, CHEM-1112, and either MATH-1101, or MATH-1103 and MATH-1104 [prerequisite(s)]; CHEM-2103L (lab) (must be taken concurrently).

Students may not hold credit for this course and CHEM-2101.
