Description
The goal is to provide the student with the necessary mathematical and technical skills, as well as the attitudes, which are required in the planning process. Because of the dangers inherent in the use of ionizing radiation the student must be knowledgeable of the various factors which need to be considered when using radiation for treatment. This course provides the basic information required to correctly calculate treatment parameters and accurately plan radiation treatments for patients. The lab component of this course provides the student with hands-on experience allowing them to relate the didactic material to simulated clinical situations.
