Description

The course deals with the life history, structural and behavioral adaptations, and the economic effects of insects, and insect control. The laboratory period will include the collection, preservation, dissection and identification of insects.

Requisite courses

BIOL-2115 [prerequisite(s)]; BIOL-3801L (lab) (must be taken concurrently).

Note

Students are required to submit a mounted and identified collection of insects as part of the laboratory exercises. This collection should be initiated in the summer preceding registration in the course. Students should contact the instructor for further details.
