Description

This course deals with basic genetic techniques and phenomena at the molecular level. Topics covered include transcription, translation and the genetic code, regulation of gene expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, recombinant DNA technology and its applications, genomics, manipulation of sequence database information and sequence data analysis.
