Description
This course explores the role of conceptual modeling in the development of information systems. A conceptual model is an abstraction of reality that serves as a communication mechanism between the stakeholders of a system and its developers. The course covers various approaches proposed for conceptual modeling including UML, EERD, and ORM. Students gain considerable practical experience with pertinent software tools.
