Description

This course introduces students to the basic concepts of computers: types of computers, hardware, software, and types of application systems. Students receive instruction in a variety of software intended for personal use. Software used include word processing, spreadsheets, databases, charting and graphing tools, and common Internet clients and resources. There is an extensive laboratory component.

Note

This course does not apply toward the Major or the Minor in Applied Computer Science.
